RCM drains

Small accumulations of liquid and then evaporation are one thing. But what about the solid particulates that were loosened and vacuumed off your records? After the decades of use that some of your report I would think that buildup could be significant.

I don't give my 16.5 heavy use, certainly not compared to some of you. But a couple of times I've inserted hot water with a detergent into the top suction arm hole, sloshed it around a bit, then drained it. I wouldn't want to drink what comes out. And yes, I then poor in a little rinse water to help flush things clean.

My result is 20+ years with no problems. Even the drain tube looks clear.
