Everyone's 'getting on a bit', I suspect.
However..My info is 100% accurate.
The Phonodisc Factory, as mentioned, pressed Polygram-group LP's for the UK market; ie: Philips - from '670' Dutch matrices (in nearly all cases) - Deutsche Grammophon (from German '320' matrices) + a host of other affiliated, etc labels - Polygram UK masterings being '420'...
Their discs (particularly of that 'late date') are of the 'floppy variety'; but that does mean that some 4 variants could exist (ignoring any recuts) for some/many Lyrita titles.
But the Arnold Dances clearly received a 1980 recut by Decca - after they had been bought; as your 'Decca Original' (?) is 1A/1A - and the side 2 (sic) '1A' is re-used for the 1981 Polygram-era pressing - with their 'reverse' metalwork - '2X' - with 'ED' to show it was mastered in the Decca Studios (I presume..)...it even comes in the 'typical' Polygram inner-sleeve: "don't suffocate yourself"....
I was under the impression that Nimbus matrices were only used with their pressings (with the easily identifiable label-detants) but, possibly, some got used by EMI (don't have any EMI) - but, again, EMI metalwork/pressing 'type' is easily identifiable ..so there shouldn't be 'any mystery' about this 'subject'; however, before Lyrita went 'stereo' their pressing-quality was stunningly atrocious..
