Their coils were asymmetrically placed around the circumference, for reasons I do not fathom."Actually, Dual was the one who used symmetrical arrangement of coils in their coreless motor, whereas the copycat, (Kenwood, Brinkmann, etc) motors use asymmetrical coils. Anyway, it's nice to see the direct drive genre getting some good reps!
I would love to see the innards of the new VPI Direct table.
The more I look at direct drive the more elegant it is mechanically.
