Ed,
JaS has always been good to me. I don't post there often, but I try to be helpful and informative without being argumentative when I do post. That's the least a participant can do, and it always comes back in spades, if that's the approach one takes. It did for me at Vinyl Engine and it has here, too. I'm grateful for that.
It seems that the Internet in general has taken a dive as of late when it comes to the overall level of quality participation, so I'm not surprised that forum owners are becoming a bit more autocratic. Of course, there is a balance someplace, but the trick is in finding that balance. I would not purport to know where that balance lies because it is a lot more complicated than it appears. I can see why some may think it isn't even-handed, though. Still, you can't please everybody, even on a good day.
