I'm quite happy with my budget TT but I'm looking to step it up a notch. It could use a bit more bass and transparency. I'd prefer to spend no more than $200 to $300 at this time. Which would do me more good, a cartridge upgrade or phono stage upgrade?
Current system:
NAD C326BEE, NAD C545BEE, Rega RP1 (stock OM5e), Musical Fidelity V-LPS MKII, PSB Image B6
My cartridge short list includes:
- Rega Bias 2 (comes with the Rega RP1 upgrade package)
- Rega Elys 2
- Goldring GL2100
- Nagaoka MP-110 (I hear good things about this)
Thoughts?
