Have Jim Howard rewire the arm and tighten the bearings (or check it out, or...
Tubesforever Jim Howard) of appliedfidelity.com may be able to help you...I don't know whether he can or not. (No affiliation other than being a great friend). He is of genius material.
I have no idea of the cost, either, but I'd e-mail him...he may simply allow you to pick his brains...they most likely have recovered from smoked ribs overdose.
Regardless of what you do, keep us informed, I'm curious (not yellow).
Remember, if you send it, tape & pack to the max!
