RE: turntable

If it's from the mid 70's or so, it may not be so good. I remember some department stores selling Fisher "All-in-One" units (cassette, turntable, and receiver) that were average at best. My college roommate had one. They came with light floor standing speakers. I believe they had 8" or 10" woofers with small magnets, and cheap paper/cardboard midrange/tweeters.

The older Fisher equipment is more respected.
