Thanks for posting this. I was not aware of this album. I will definatly seek it out. Was she the model for the cover? I would not have recognized her in that picture.
I liked her in the '50s but thought of her as a pop singer. At my brother in law's wedding the DJ played her doing some Lady Day stuff. I then realized she had a good bit of Jazz cred and I started taking notice of her. While she may not be in the league with Lady Day, Ella, Sarah, and Carmen she is certainly up there with Peggy Lee in my view.
