I think you misunderstand the purpose of Last. It is NOT a record cleaner and is not sold as such. It is a record preservative. If there is dirt present on the record when Last is applied it will still be there after Last is applied. However, Last does not lock dirt onto the record. Last chemically combines with the vinyl and alters the hardness of the record surface. Once applied there is nothing to remove. It is not like a lubricant which will leave a film behind. Last becomes one with the vinyl but the dirt is totally ignored. An RCM will still remove the dirt.
