But I go one step further. I apply Mapleshade Silclear to the cartridge pins before I place the leads back on the cartridge. Silclear is that paste with lots of microscopic silver suspended in the paste.
Good connections make all the difference in the world for low level detail retrieval and applying the Silclear to the cartridge pins is one of the tweaks that is very effective. Progold does a very good job of cleaning contacts but the Silclear makes that connection much more effective. It is something to hear to be believed.
I use a LOMC cartridge and the use of Silclear is that much more important at the cartridge connections due to the low levels of the current flowing through that connection. Its definately easy to recommend.
