My Timbernation rack is level (I don't use the optional and very crappy Dayton Audio adjustable cones) and the 401 is level as-well.I don't have any issues with footfall induced skipping. My Jim Campbell plinth did come with some hard rubber feet and I may try them.I received my order of various idler and motor support springs yesterday from Perfect Sound in the UK so maybe I'll try adding the feet when I replace all the various springs and rubber washers.
