It tracked better with a Rega than with a knife edge SME. It tracked worse in a unipivot.
The motor is off square. So the cartridge needs to be tipped a couple of degrees to get azimuth aligned properly.
I cannot do this as easily with a unipivot because of the stylus friction. It will work to pull the FG or Shibata types square to the grooves but the motor is still out a few degrees.
With these situations I just have to use certain misaligned motors in a cartridge to play on fixed bearing arms and properly aligned motor assemblies go on my unipivot arm.
The nice thing is when you realize it is not you that are creating the nasties it becomes easier to move forward.
