You might want to do a search here on this topic, as I believe there has been much discussion. In my personal experience, (VPI HRX/12.7 arm, Soundsmith Voice), I found cartridge set up very difficult; I suffered excessive sibilance and inner groove distortion, both of which could be signs of incorrect azimuth. I didn't own a fozgometer then, which would have helped. Disclaimer: I also may have set VTF too low because of my use of a digital gauge that sat on the surface of the platter. Anyway, you might want to troll through the archives to see what others have experienced.
