When I was a kid, we had a portable stereo of about the same vintage as the one in the picture. Different but same vintage. It was a "Sonic" brand and had the exact same Voice of Music record changer in it except it was black with a gold tonearm and overarm.

So, the sign probably says, 'Setting traps for "Big Bear"'? Or "Game" would work too I guess.
