RE: It's that time again: Cartridge Roll Call...

The 2 I have used regularly recently are a Shure M97xE and a Grado Reference Platinum. I'm thinking of getting something different soon.

Also complete, playable, but unknown condition: Linn K9 (stylus probably too old).

A mountain of other cartridges have come my way one way or another. Attached to turntables, or loose in "this box two dollars" at yard sale deals. These include: an old Grado (equivalent of today's Blue), Ortofon MC10, Goldring 1020, and 2 cheap Shures. The last group play, and seem to be OK, but have unknown history. I don't trust them on my best records. Then I have collection of bodies with no stylus--Ortofon FF15xE, Shure M55e, Shure M3D, AT10, some cheap P mount AT, and probably something (or somethings) I'm forgetting.

Hard to believe 20 years ago it was the Linn K9, and only the Linn K9!
