No idea how the Rega is factory packed but since you have the original box I'd repack it the same way. That should include removal of the platter and arm counterweight. Then the arm should be tied down, not only relying on any plastic clip.

I would remove the cartridge and pack it separately. Consider this, if you leave it on and it is damaged you'd need to reinstall a replacement or after repair anyway.

For your records, the boxes John recommended should be good. But I would mark "up" arrows on all four sides to minimize chances any will be stacked on their sides during shipment.
