are not correct, they estimate some el cheapo price one only gets in big LP weekend shows or garage sales.
I see these go for $1 to $3 each record, but I might pay $1-2 if you really need the box to complete your collection.
They are reissues on Italian vinyl, as stated, but just being thin doesn't necessarily mean they sound bad or have bad pressings. It depends if you collecting only the finest pressings or you are a music listener who might like these DGG sets.
I own 3 sets (Vol 1-3) and the softcover book, from my late aunt's collection. This is how I got the complete Kempff Beethoven PC's, Karajan symphonies from 1963-64, etc. The pressings are fairly good, not very thin and surfaces are ok, mostly quiet (she did not play them much if at all on her Dual 1015 with ?Shure cart). If I love (for example) the Kempff PC 3, I would search out a real tulip copy.
As an aside, the Great Men of Music are excellent sounding re issued RCA Red Seal recordings (Time Life). Great finds if you want the music. The Beethoven set had the complete Heifetz/Munch Beethoven VC, and Cliburn/Reiner PC 5, "Emperor."
