Good point and that's the real pleasure and value of having a large collection. If I want to listen to "Auld Lang Syne" on New Years Eve, no problem, I pull out the Guy Lombardo 78 and give it a spin. To some, that record might be "average" and granted, I don't spin it often, but it's nice to have along with the ninety other Guy Lombardo 78s on the shelf.

I happen to use another Guy Lombardo 78 "Get Out Those Old Records" as the intro music for my weekly two hour radio show "Dave's Old Time Radio." A show I would not be able to produce if I didn't have 7,000 78s to draw from.

I can appreciate that some folks lack the space, listening time, or desire to maintain a large collection, but it sure is nice to draw from a wide and varied collection that offers practically anything I want to hear as the mood strikes.
