RE: A cart that sounds like a Grado from midrange upward but...?

I was recommended (by my repair tech with a Sota TT he loves and swears by) the Grado Reference Platinum 1 ($350) for my Thorens TD-165, and a DG Systems phono pre. This phono stage is made by hand to match specific values of MC carts. I got recommended that phono stage to go with the aforementioned Grado almost unanimously over at AK. It's $200 now, and I imagine with that consensus of opinion it's pretty sweet. I never thought I'd afford a $350 cart but now's the time. My SpinClean's bringing my records back to playable condition, and I'm trying to give my computer rig a run for its money.
