It's not my own scope and my knowledge in electricity is quite limited. Sorry, can't help you with that.I would measure the cart's output directly, i.e. at the cart's pins. In view of input sensitivity of scopes (at least that's what the scope's owner told me concerning his), it should work.

I came across another method for adjusting azimuth which seems to be more practical but less foolproof. What you need is a Mono record, A + B speaker terminals on the amp, mono switch on the amp, balance control on the amp. I'll try to find it back. If you are interested, I'll post it.
