One peroblem is dirty pot that gives scratchy noise. You can usually fix this with just about anything that will not make it worse. All this products are sorted in 2 groups. Group 1 works, group 2 does not. Among all that work, they are all the same except how long before problem comes back.
Your second problem is related to clutch that connects motor to pot shaft. Using ANY product arround clutch will make it bad. Probably someone used it already so you have this problem now.
Sorry to tell you but you MUST replace this pot, together with motor. Other option is VERY experianced technician who fixed this pots for fun. To fix it it takes about 2 hours. To buy new, about $20. So, go ahead now.
