Build the traps as big as you feel you can handle, keeping in mind that anything over 16" in diameter for a 1st timer would be bitting off too much. 12" diameter traps will do plenty of good, and are not as hard to build.Height is not as much of an issue, as long as you use the extra support discs in the middle, as per the DIY note.
3 foot minimum height, and I would not try to go more than 6 feet high , and most of the animal fencing that is readily available is only 5 feet high. Two three foot high (nominal height, actual hieght wil be slightly greater) traps can be stacked on tiop of one another, so that one (pair) of corners can be doubled-up readily.
If you have the inclination then build all younthink that yo will need, as many feel that you should build as many traps in the first sitting as you think you will need, so as to not have to go through the mess with the fiberglass again later (it is all relative, some folks seem bothered by the construction, others don't seem to think it a big deal).
On the other hand, if you found you needed more than four in the first room, then adding on some Super Quick & Dirty versions in the next room, or on top of the existing ones would be relatively easy and quick to do.
