I live in Australia and haven't heard all of your 3 options but my comments would be as follows:- I have tried Vibrapods and found them to have an effect but, overall, I've moved away from them. I always found bass with them sounded a little soft and ended up preferring other options. They probably won't fit directly under the feet of your CDP and you will need to either remove the feet and use them directly between the chassis and the shelf, or under a board that the CDP sits on. You would probably get better results using a board with 8 Vibrapods (lower mass rating) than with 4.
- I haven't heard any of the Bright Star platforms but it's easy to make quite respectable platforms using the constrained layer damping technique by gluing a sheet of polystyrene foam between 2 sheets of 5-ply. Use a white PVA glue as a lot of the contact adhesives dissolve the polystyrene over a period of a week or so. You still end up needing some kind of footer under the platform.
- I also haven't heard the DH gear but have heard good things about them and wouldn't mind trying them if they were readily available here. I have a soft spot for cones and use a combination of Mod Squad Tiptoes and Soft Shoes in my isolation approach. My one concern with your third option is the heavy maple chopping board since I don't like mass and I have found that hardwood can add an edge to the highs in some cases. If you go for the cones, I'd recommend trying them with a homemade platform like the one I described above rather than the chopping board. You could also experiment with the placement of the squares below the cones, between the cones and the board, and between the board and the CDP. You could also experiment with the cones above the board and the squares below, and try the cone/square combination under the CDP without the board. I think that's where I'd start if I tried the cones.
There are a lot of other options and Barry has given you some as well. I think I'd simply start with something that interested me and play from there because once you start down this particular path you probably won't stop. Lots of things make a difference, some good and some bad, and some of the bad differences can sound awfully appealing at first. I tried a pile of options before settling on what I've got and while that took me a few years, in many ways I don't regret the journey since I learned a lot about different sorts of effects, what to listen for, and probably most importantly how to listen, along the way. My one strong recommendation would be that you read Shannon Dickson's article "Bad Vibes" in the Stereophile Archives for a very good discussion of what is involved in isolation and coupling. It gives a good intro to the scientific theory involved which I think is essential reading since a lot of what is written and claimed about how and why some things work is just plain rubbish. That doesn't mean that the things don't work, by the way, just that a lot of the explanations given are simply wrong and mistaken. Getting a basic idea of what is really going on will help you immensely.
