Thanks! Suggestions for other (analog) upgrades? Re: Oh, looks like you solved the problem...

Chris - Thanks for your suggestion on Schottky's for digital. As I don't currently have a preamp that takes digital input, I'm looking to upgrade the analog side for now. Sure, I'd be interested in being on your mailing list. How would I sign up?

The diodes used were Fairchild "Stealth" diodes 600V, 4A part number: ISL9R460S2; There were a few packaging options. If I had to use the heatsink I would've probably chosen the one with the throughhole.

Somewhat encouraged and challenged by this :) I'm also looking to see what else to upgrade for analog ?

Based on what I see on this forum, I'm thinking of the following further upgrades (trying to keep mods costeffective):

* upgrading the PSU
- 100uF 250V electrolytic to something like Panasonic TSHA 220uF 250V.
- Is there anything that Panasonic makes that would be suitable as a bypass cap for the cap above?
- As this is, I believe a (unregulated?) switching PS, I'm not sure if much else can be done. The other caps in the PS are mainly Elna electrolytics: TWO each of 1000uF(10V), 180uF(25V), 1000uF(6.3V); and ONE each of 1000uF (10V), 270uF (25V), 56uF(50V), 33uF (25V), 180uF(10V), 220uF (10V), 220uF (16V). Which of these would be worthwhile to upgrade, say to Panasonic FC, for Analog?

* upgrading the RCA analog output. I believe that these are for the high pass filter:
- coupling caps (in this case for L, R analog RCA outs). I'm not sure, but I believe that these are currently, 16V 47uF electrolytics. Thinking of replacing this with Panasonic FC 47uF, 25V.
- the resistor, I believe that these are surface mounted (where?). Not sure what R value/brand/type to use though.
