unfortunately I won't be able to get to this for a little while, but i'm still looking around at glass suppliers. I may be more interested in getting a hold of a glass blank (approx. 13"x13"x1/2") and having it waterjet cut (there's a place around here that charges $40 an hr to waterjet cut and a circle of the diameter needed would take about 15 minutes to cut). not too sure about the balancing, but glass generally has a much more consistant density than acrylic. of course, it may just be easier to find out how much rega wants for a glass platter for a P3 and retrofit it. although this has little to do with how the table sounds, I may *carefully* strip the laminate from the plinth and replace it with white formica, too. whatever i do, i'll post once i'm finished. thanks for the help.
