I forgot that the first Tiger amps had a more conventional (at the time) input stage. I was referring to the later amps from the same manufacturer. I don't have any schematics of the Bryston amps, so it is possible that they don't use a comp diff input in any of their products. If so, then they are pretty laid back in circuit design.
