Why opinions is so different? I allways using BG caps and found their sound before break-in is closed in and somewhat undynamic, but not harsh, forward, or edgy. After the break-in they sounding much much better, but small initial character still remains (minimally) - I'll call the sound of highs as "modest", but no means harsh, piercy, forward. BTW I don't like at all Thorstens recommended Arcotronics coupling capacitors - they allways sounding harsh, edgy, dry even in the circuit with all other "soft sounding" parts like carbon resistors, very old tubes, PIO power supply capacitors etc.GSI
