to knock the shelf and component off the rack !! lolololooi do understand your high-space shelf idea and agree that vertical isolation should be incorporated.
i planned on setting the diyuma door-pulls on little sandwich disks of gel/cork/rubber/delrin like i have them now.
the oracle equipment uses 7-seven material in their isolation feet for mechanical filters of vibration.
i did the innertube idea for a long time but found that after balancing the equipment it would become unlevel after just a few days and pretty soon the whole system looked as if i were drunk when i put it all together ! lololololo
i have seen the tri-orbs and their crazy $$.
