Hi,Again thanks for your information and the valuable circuit you put on the web. I have got an (I think dynasaur) Arcam Black box which use the 1541. It has not been used for 7 years. After reading what you mentioned, I am going to kick start it. I am going to built the tube circuit you mentioned in a separate box. (in case I succeed and enjoy what I have built). And in the case that it works, I can also try it out with other DAC without rebuilding the whole thing again. (I am not questioning your circult, I am worrying about my skills).
I must say I do not believe 1541 can beat the 1702 or 1704 or even the 1716. I am currently using a MSB link dac III with heavy modicafication on the PSU. I should be able to finished the tube part in the next 1-2 weeks. But that time I will let you know the result. (Any more advice you want to give me before I start ???)
I also remember back 10 years ago, some shop sell the selected version of the 1541. Do you think those special version help ???
