You might be discovering what your player really sounds like. What is the output coupling cap size? If its only like 10 to 47uf, then thing about something way bigger maybe 330 to 470uf. I had a tuner with no bass until I replaced the cap, it was only 10uf. Once I had one the bass player could fit through he started to play. From there the door is wife open to the next mods.
