Using cable towers under ALL of my speaker cables improves the sound. It isn't minor. Only the deafest and most ignorant people won't be able to hear the differences. But then, I know that my place is full of static electricity. I wish I could stick anti-static fabric softener on the floor! If your place doesn't have much static electricity near the floor, then lifting cables off the ground won't effect much, if any, change. If that's the case, then count yourself lucky!Out of the speaker cables I have tried, elevation off the floor effected the greatest change on the Kimber KS-3033. The least effect was on the AudioQuest Indigo, but then again, the Indigo, even at its best, is murky and opaque, compared to better cables.
