What's outside Pleasantville?
(Trying to stay calm and keep from revealing he was from the future) I'm from a town where the roads don't end at the edge of town. It's not like Pleasantville. There are some places that the road doesn't go in a circle. There are some places where the road keeps going.

Yeah, it all just keeps going.
I am not dismissing physics. At all. All reality can be explained by physics. You are perhaps dismissing reality because you just have found the right physics.
In my world I equate perception with hearing. They are indistinguishable. Subconscious influences can and do affect hearing/perception. You are playing a semantics game.
