Cat 5 vs Cat 8 Ethernet Cable

According to Dr. Google

The main differences between Cat5 and Cat8 Ethernet cables are their performance, bandwidth, and intended use:
Performance
Cat8 cables are designed for high-speed and high-bandwidth networks, while Cat5 cables are more basic and suitable for general networking. Cat8 cables are rated for data transfers 250 to 400 times faster than Cat5 cables.
Bandwidth
Cat8 cables support higher bandwidth, reaching up to 40 Gbps, while Cat5 cables are limited to 1000 Mbps.
Intended use
Cat5 cables are suitable for most home and small office networks, while Cat8 cables are designed for data centers and advanced systems.
Frequency
Cat8 cables use a frequency of 2 billion (2 GHz) signals per second, while Cat5 cables use a frequency of 100 million signals per second (100 Mhz).
Shielding
Cat8 cables employ shielding for reduced interference.
Cost
Cat8 cables are generally more expensive than older versions like Cat6 or Cat7.

According to my senses [sight, sound]

Not measuring with a stop watch but everything loads faster

No measurements but the difference in sound was immediate and easy to tell, crisper/clearer everything, nuanced background sounds stepped out of the shadows.

Conclusion, very cheap overall upgrade.
