I'm finally getting around to rebuilding a pair of long-unused Dynaco MK-III tube amps, and will be replacing their 60+ year old AC cords.

Although the power cords are in surprisingly good shape for their age, I feel it's wise to replace them, for a couple of reasons. First, the possibility of dry-rot (although none is evident).

Secondly, Dynaco (and some other tube amp manufacturers during that time) drew their schematics showing one leg fused, and the other switched, with no polarity evident.

When I replace the cords I'll wire them with the Hot to the fuse, and then to the switch, with the Neutral uninterrupted, using a polarized male plug, of course.
