Mac laptop users appreciate the safety factor of the easily broken magnetic connection of the MagSafe 3 but perhaps not the magnetic distortion of music passing through neighboring MacBook USB-C connectors from an external drive. That is unless there is one layer of electrical tape on the MagSafe-3, followed by one recessed layer of UltraPerm-80 covered by another another layer of electrical tape. Make sure that there's a respectful gap between the front of the UltraPerm layer on the magnetic plug and the MacBook's socket to maintain the charging function. And the faster the external drive whose USB-C cable is coming through the neighboring connectors, the more engaging is the music's pace, rhythm and timing in similar fashion to a high-powered, four-wheel drive Porsche being driven fast on a winding road.
