I've ordered those two products (the tiny, 100% concentrate, 2ml tubes versions) to treat my connections
I do have a few questions:

1) my preamp is vintage and has old grey RCA sockets. I'm planning to first clean them with deoxit. Can I still use some Deoxit Gold afterwards even tho they are not gold plated? And should I rinse the deoxit cleaner (with some isopropyl alcohol for example) beforehand?

2) how long does Deoxit Gold need to "rest" on the sockets before wiping it off and reconnecting? I've seen a guy leaving the product 24H before wiping off the excess

May sound like stupid questions but I'm pretty sure one could ruin a system's sound with improper use...
