RE: please help identify mystery DIY mono amps on dynaco ST-120 chassis

The boards are original Dyna ST120 without the later tip mod that Dyna released to prevent oscillation.If you go to update my dynaco.com you will find information on the needed tip mod.The mod made the amp much more reliable.The output transistors should be changed to MJ15003G to prevent cross conduction as the originals are very slow allowing both output transistors to conduct at the same time at high levels,never a good idea but the original transistors were what was available in the late 60's when that amp was designed.Cheers.
