impressive&looks like it's nicely done. The 120's had the output coil wrapped around the cap so I don't think it's too far from the original.
I see from one pic that the 3 prong AC cable has the green safety ground wire attached to the chassis (looks like it) so try lifting the ground connection on the cable wall end with a cheater and see what happens. Might be a system ground interaction.
