RE: Faceplates have a sound? *

Yes Mike, they do. It's a fun, cheap tweak. Here is a previously recommended faceplate that I use. I haven't A B'ed a bunch of them but this was a significant improvement over a standard plastic plate. One can expect, IMO some improvement in the soundstage... Perhaps the new carbon fiber plate or the brass one will be better??
