If it is an adjustable regulator you will find a trimmer inside, as Duster has mentioned. The regulator will NOT be compatible with the 7805. So don't try and change it.
Not trying to be offensive, but asking such a basic question suggests you don't have the knowledge or skill to replace the chip.
You could damage not only the supply, but what it is attached to.
Do your homework first.
