Hi Uncle Mike. The Entech Wideband Powerline Noise Analyzer only measures noise on the line. The speaker on the rear of the device also allows you to hear this noise. This noise sounds terrible.

I thought this would be a "fun" tool to play with. I could not have been more wrong about this. This is an indispensable tool to maximize system performance. Is any of your audio equipment throwing noise back onto the line, infecting the whole system? How about something in your own house? Usually, who knows. It's merely a guessing game. With this tool you know exactly what's going on. Now you can go about fixing the problem/problems.
