Best used for non-audio devices...

...that pollute adjacent audio cables which tend to perform better without a ferrite bead, since more harm than good tends to be the result. I've never decided to use a ferrite bead for any audio cable in the long run, since among other things macro and micro dynamics tend to suffer as a result.
