RE: Opamps in active crossover.

Well, you will need to trace it out to see just what it is doing. If it is an input buffer, you can usually omit it if your source has a low Z output (which most SS equipment does). If you are using tubes as a source, it may not be low Z. If it has a cathode follower output, it is probably low enough.
