Tweeter surround depth with Madisound diffraction rings....

Have you tried using the adhesive backing of Madisound's black felt diffraction rings to develop depth by sticking the back of one ring on the top of the front of another? I have them five deep on each tweeter and cut the inner diameter of each ring progressively larger by 0.25" each time. (The inner diameter of the bottom ring being 2" and that of the top ring being 3.25".)

That D-I-Y approach ends up looking tolerable to the eye and good to the ear unlike taking 0.5" thick F10 soft gray felt from McMaster-Carr and trying to cut the inner and outer circles for each tweeter and then grading the center holes outwards. They neither looked nor sounded good after costing much more time and money.
