I used to follow high mass coupling, but some 15 years ago rigged up a way to decouple (or largely so) and I loved the difference... ONCE I got used to what at first seemed a bit bas light. After a few days I realised that what I was hearing was more deep bass but less mid-bass.
The speed and transparency were BIG benefits.
I have found a bigger difference on suspended floors but an easy to hear improvement on concrete slabs which I had thought would themselves be damped by contact with the ground.
I also love Herbie's products and approachability.
