I plugged it into another outlet and the problem is gone. I live in an apt. (and move a lot) and the outlets are often not grounded properly. I thought this device might help with that problem as well as general line noise. I know I should have a dedicated line etc. but even asking for an electrician to fix the outlet would draw an interesting reaction from the property manager. And I'm not sure I'm allowed to call one at my own expense. I imagine it draws more amps than the amplifiers did, because I didn't have a problem with the outlet then. I've got another topaz line two coming, and an ultra isolator for my front end coming as well.
