it was the volume of the left channel that was very slightly attenuated. Plus, the slight forwardness of the upper mids where toned down with the channel sounding slightly thinner.Yes, I did use Sonicap .01uf 600v caps with Takman 10ohm 1 watt resistors
I did the right channel and after 6 hours of listening it started to get a lot better. The soundstage started to open back up to where it was before and everything was sound more focused now. Both channels volume are balanced now.
Like you said most likely what I was hearing was the crap the cables were picking up being removed now.
One thing I did notice now is on good recordings like the collector series from Freddie Hubbard which are great recordings, sounds even better now with the Freddie sounding like he is right there. So there is a Break in period with these as well. The sound is still not as forward as it once was but it's a lot better. Gone is that little smearing/slightly blurred sound around the instruments that was there before.
I will post back when I'm done with the Serious version of these filters.
