Hello everyone,
Does anyone out there have any opinion (or experience) on using RF type connectors for audio instead of the usual RCA connectors. The type that most appeal to me are either :1. UHF Connector (Sometimes called PL259) or
2. N ConnectorTypically these are available silver or gold plated in 50 or 75 Ohm impedance and to my mind offer a very reliable robust connection. On the UHF/PL259 connector plug the hot male pin is a very tight yet precise interference fit into the mating female and the ground is very good- a screw down outer ring collar surrounding the connector about 20mm in diameter. These connectors can be had for between $3 to $10 Australian.
Am I correct in understanding that audio connectors are normally 75 Ohm, except for some digital interconnects?
