is simply everyday Baby oil.
I suspend my crystal in mineral oil because it allows more r=freedom of movement for the piezo effect to take place. I do not not simply coat the crystal. If you wish to increase the conductivity of the EMF field on the crystal so that the piezo qualities are enhanced, I would use a solution of Downy ( antistatic, thus conductive). You can simply spray the crystal with and allow it to dry.
Piezo qualities of crystals are listed on line, and it takes very little research to uncover them.
