The moderate-cost Vampire LRCA7 is a locking barrel RCA featuring a brass base metal body plated with copper then silver then gold with a Teflon dielectric. The LRCA7's particular strain relief area with set screw design located at the cable entry point is excellent (better than WBT’s, IME), and along with the LRCA7’s particular precision feel-and-fit locking barrel mechanism which is the best feeling/sounding of its type I’ve experienced, it’s a very solid and fine sounding option for stiff interconnect cables with a maximum 7mm outer diameter (the OD of Belden 89207 is 6.58mm).
